NEW YORK, NY, October 28, 2008 - How many hours is the flight from Los Angeles to Tahiti? Eight, ten or twelve? In celebration of Air Tahiti Nui’s 10th anniversary, the airline launched yesterday a fun quiz contest where visitors to www.airtahitinui-usa.com who correctly answer a multiple-choice question about French Polynesia can enter to win a free trip to Tahiti. There are 10 trips up for grabs, with two winners announced every week until November 30, 2008.
Each lucky winner will fly Air Tahiti Nui roundtrip from Los Angeles International Airport, or New York's John F. Kennedy Airport (commencing June 15, 2009), to Tahiti’s Faa’a International Airport in comfortable Moana class (economy) service. Once on island, they will enjoy a complimentary one-night stay at the Le Méridien Tahiti, which overlooks white sand beaches, calming blue waves, and commanding mountains.
Located in the heart of Papeete, the capital of Tahiti and cultural hub of the South Pacific, Le Méridien Tahiti is close to colorful markets, distinguished art and history museums, and lush botanical gardens.
Air Tahiti Nui flies modern A340-300 Airbuses, with comfortable 2-4-2 layouts in which each seat is equipped with its own personal entertainment center featuring interactive games and six new release movies. The airline was recently named the “Best Airline - Pacific Region” and recognized as having the “Best Cabin Staff - Pacific Region” in the 2008 Skytrax World Airline Survey® for the sixth consecutive year.
