AIR TAHITI NUI WINS TOP HONORS IN TRAVEL + LEISURE'S WORLD’S BEST AWARDS

Named One of Top Ten International Airlines for First Time

LOS ANGELES, CA, August 8, 2008 - Marking its 10th anniversary this year, French Polynesian carrier Air Tahiti Nui received a surprise birthday gift -- its first appearance in Travel + Leisure's World’s Best Awards survey. As the youngest and smallest airline to make the list, Air Tahiti Nui is rightly proud that the magazine’s readers ranked it among the “Top Ten International Airlines” in its annual 2008 poll.

The prestigious World’s Best list ranks the top hotels, spas, airlines, cruise lines, outfitters, cities and islands. Airlines were judged on five criteria: cabin comfort, food, in-flight service, customer service and value. Air Tahiti Nui placed ninth, keeping company with the likes of Singapore Airlines, Emirates Airline, Cathay Pacific Airway and Virgin Atlantic Airways.

“We are thrilled to mark two milestones this year,” said Nicholas Panza, Air Tahiti Nui’s vice president Americas. “As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, it is incredibly flattering that our valued guests have recognized Air Tahiti Nui as a leading international airline.”

With just five aircraft, Air Tahiti Nui flies more passengers to Tahiti from the United States than any other carrier. Year round daily nonstop flights are available from Los Angeles’ International Airport to the Faa’a’s International Airport in Papeete, Tahiti. During the summer peak travel season, nonstop flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport are offered two or three times a week to Tahiti. Additionally, nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Paris are offered, as well as continuing service from Tahiti to Auckland and Sydney.

The islands of Tahiti are world renowned for their black, pink and white sand beaches, crystal clear lagoons and beautiful verdant mountains that rise up out of turquoise waters. Setting the scene from the moment they step onboard, Air Tahiti Nui’s guests are welcomed with a fragrant tiare tahiti gardenia. The “Best Cabin Staff - Pacific Region” (Skytrax) serves French Polynesian-inspired meals, with business and first class passengers enjoying French service from a menu designed by two-star Michelin chef Michel Sarran.

Flying with Air Tahiti Nui is convenient and comfortable. While some airlines are now charging extra for food, drinks, and baggage, Air Tahiti Nui continues to offer these services complimentary. Travelers can also utilize the airline’s e-ticket agreement with many airlines, which allows customers to check-in through to their final destination using a paperless multi-carrier ticket. American Airlines AAdvantage members can also accrue and redeem miles on Air Tahiti Nui flights.
